Meeting Maegan and making the land fun and functional
I was lucky to run into Maegan at a board gaming event in early 2018. We became fast friends and eventually started dating that August! I later met my soon to be step-kids. Lots of changes and COVID put my dream of building on hold. Maegan actually helped a lot on the land as a friend while we created trails, built a fire pit and bench. We even set up an outdoor playground ! Not to worry, while everyone was locked away for months for COVID, we utilized the land as our own private park! We were also lucky to invite some special neighbors as we offered our property as a release site for a group of rescued opossums .
