First builder

Maegan and I started down the building road thinking we needed to do a barndominium to make this budget work.  We picked a builder who specialized in Barndos. We signed that contract to get started back in February 2023 and proceeded to get the plans I drew up finalized with his architect.  We were to be his biggest project yet. Along the way, we were told he thought our plan was better built as a stick build on slab so we pursued that route for a bit.  He was a nice guy, but surprised us by backing out of being our contractor as soon as we had paid to have the plans engineered and finalized in late 2024. It was a bummer, but we believe in all things being in God's hands and began our search for a builder again.
